Splish splash - it should have been !!

Well this card sure didn't turn out to be what I set out to make !!!! I wanted to make card in the shape of a splash with the girl in the middle and on my cricut I have the words Splish Splash ............ However things are just so hectic here I couldn't get my brain to focus so I used a design I have used before sorry !!! This week at Crafts 4 Eternity the challenge is anything goes !!! I made the card base using a Marianne die and the image is a Sassy Studio one !! Coloured using promarkers and inked around the edges.

Well Gran didn't get her op Tuesday as she has a chest infection !!! So we are awaiting her still going down to theatre !! Bless her.

Christmas card Club - Chris's challenge

Hi there all. Its been a very very busy and stressful week for my Aunt and I. My Grandma is in hospital with damage to a 20 year old hip replacement. Theatre is the only option which is scheduled Tuesday. She is 93 and has a heart that beats irregularly ............ its going to be a tough day Tuesday hoping she gets through it.

Anyway I did manage to make a card, it wasn't what I set out to do !!! I just couldn't concentrate and then my printer decided to start doing weird things !!! Great that's all I need, I had to buy a new freezer this week (just as I was preparing things for the freezer for Xmas !!! ), the car has got damaged, Gran in hospital ................ I could so do with a Gin & tonic !!! No I know I cant with baby !!!!

The image is a Tatty teddy one and I borrowed my wonderful Aunts bauble nesties. I glittered up the image and made the bauble look like it was hanging. I used my Marianne Star dies again to make tho beautiful embellies !!! I just love them !!! I added glitter along the edges of the outer bauble and papers to give that sparkle !!!

Autumn days

Well Autumn sure feels like its here !!! The Lime trees down our road have been loosing leaves for weeks now !! The weather sure isn't warm any more either !!! I am tying my hand behind my back so I don't reach for the heating switch !!!!

My card is a House Mouse image with the rabbit eating the autumn apples. I coloured the image using water colour pencils, somehow I find I can work with these on these stamps so much easier than promakers !!! I downloaded the paper free from computerscrapbook.com It is from the Fall frolic collection. There are so many lovely papers there !!! The idea with the gems was to look like falling leaves across the page .......... hope it works !!! And of course the punch I used was a Martha Stewart one !!! So as I am trying to not reach for the bling stuff and flowers ........... no glitter, not a Xmas card and bling ......... mmm I guess I failed on the bling as the leaves are gems but no flowers this time !!!! hehe !!! The next card will be a Xmas one tho ................

Bird, leaves and Glitter !

Hi there. The challenge this week at Crafts 4 Eternity is to have at least one of the following on your card Leaves, a Bird/birds or Glitter !!!

Last weekend at Harrogate I got my sticky hands on one of the new lili of the valley designs. Perfect for this challenge I thought, the boy and girl are hanging up bird feeders for the robins !!! Plus there are leaves on it from the tree !!! So I glittered it up and then went in search of a paper to go with it ............ I got my paper from the Papermania Christmas Past Cd, what a great match me thought, robins and leaves all over it !!!

I know .......... another Xmas card !! Well I am trying very hard to have all my cards ready way in advance as my bundle of joy is due to arrive just before Christmas so I really need to prepared in some way !!!

Simple but elegant !

Well I was requested to make a card that was simple and would go in the post on a normal stamp and not based on thicker heavier postage of a fancy card !!! So ............

This is a DL card and I used this Flowery Christmas tree die I got at Harrogate this weekend. Its made by Memory Box, they do a swirly one too but I just got this one !! It was one of those impulse purchases you buy because you see them using it and their creations !!! Well this impulse purchase got used unlike so many others in the past !!!! hehe !!!

All I did was put a dab of stickles in the middle of the flowers stick it on the card and rubber stamp the wording !! Simple and easy but effective I hope !!!

White On White ......

Mmm ok I made one !!!! It took me a month to think about this and I started it last night finishing it off today. There's so much glitter on it it took all night to dry !!!! So thanks Margaret for the challenge ........... it sure was one !!!

This card is for our Christmas card gang, we challenge each other every two weeks to make a Christmas card. Check out the other ladies cards on my side bar !!

So I used 1 white card !!! glittered the edges and then placed a smaller square using foam mount to give a raised effect on the card. I used a snowflake embossing folder and placed that raised onto another white card glittered around the edge. The idea was to give definition ........... My old faithful Cricut machine came into use for the wording which I smothered in Stickles !!! Again I used foam pads to raise it so you could see it !! BUT what I really love on this card are the stars and flowers !!

These are the new Marianne Bauble dies. I cut them and smothered them in Stickles (told you I had loads of glitter to dry last night!!!) used small flowers and then a leaf punch from Martha Stewart placing them all in the middle of the dry star !! so while I may not have liked WOW I will be using these stars on my cards again !! (in fact don't be suprised if there isn't one on the next post !!) I did however get to use up loads of white bits of card I had accumulated on my desk !!

Well I had a great morning at Harrogate craft show with my wonderful Auntie, the ribbon came from there but everything else I already had stashed !!! Would you believe I only bought card blanks !!! Oh yes and a Spellbinder die !!!! hehe !!

Brown and Blue and a bit of news !!!

Hi all !!!! This week over at Crafts 4 Eternity the challenge a colour challenge and is to be inspired by the picture below.

I used a Lili of the Valley image in blues and browns. The papers I used are scraps from my ever growing pile, the brown one is a nitwit paper but the blue well .............. sorry !! I used a primrose punch around the corner punch on the squares and the flowers are Doohickey edged with blue ink.

For my news (some of you already know this) This card is already in the hands of its recipient !!! A dear friend made me the most beautiful jacket for the baby I am expecting in December !!! So I had to make her a special card to say thank you !!! Thank you once again I know you will be reading this !!! Yes a little girl will come bouncing my way in December !!!! So I get to celebrate my 40th (too soon now) being sober, very pregnant and frumpy!!! hehe !!! As a friend said, its not important my little girl is !!!

Well I am off to the craft show at Harrogate tomorrow and cant wait to buy all those things I never knew I NEEDED !!!! My shopping list is long but the pennies are short so its prioritise !!!! Mmm ........... Ah well who needs to eat next week !!!!! hehe !!

Look at Me !!!!!

Hi there !!! Here is my design card for this weeks challenge over at Crafts For Eternity. This week the challenge is to follow the sketch below.

Mmm ..... I seem to be leaning to blues at the moment !! Not sure why as I usually reach for the pinks !!! The image I used is Nanny Queen from this weeks sponsor Kelly Kids. I coloured her using my promarkers, and then glittered the top of her dress, crown and shoes !!! Paper is from Nitwits, the punch used was a Martha Stewart one and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. The wording I found on the internet, I thought this would be great for my God daughter who is 7 soon !!!

Last day of the school holidays !!! I cant believe they have gone so fast .............. plus of course having left shoes to the last week of the hols just incase her feet grew !! Its manic getting them !!! Still I think we are all ready for a new term !!

Just married

Well I did it !!! Not one drop of glitter or bling on this card !!!! I confess to reaching for it tho ........... BUT ...... hehe !!!!

I made this card just because I like the image ! A Tatty Teddy one !! I dont have anyone getting married just yet, however one of my cousins are possibly in a year so I am well ahead then I guess !!!!! The wording I cut using my cricut from Elegant Cakes cartridge. The heart was also cut using the cricut, this time the Wedding cartridge.

I keep looking at it as its stood on the mantel and thinking ......... mmm some glitter on the flowers, the dress ...... Oh OK !!! I promise not to !!!
