Vellum flowers with the Classic Sunflower

I was inspired by an old post from Emma Lou to make these flowers!
Although I used the Classic Sunflower stamp and die set
I made a totally different flower from them!

They even look different made in vellum and paper!

I love how the glitter and glass shards look! They sure do sparkle!
It's a great way to add sparkle to your cards!

And inside I made a pocket, perfect to add a cash gift or a gift card.
Or you can add tags and journaling pieces it's up to you!

Directions for making the flowers

Step 1: Stamp the Classic Sunflower in white ink onto vellum and heat
emboss with white embossing powder.

Step 2: Die cut the flowers using the Classic Sunflower die and then using the Precision Daubers colour the backs of the flowers with ink. I used Brilliance Crimson Copper on mine.

Step 3: Using the quilling tool from the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit
shape the petals. To do this slide the petal into the gap on the tool and place half way
along the length of the petal and curve over your finger folding the two
outer edges of the petal together.

Step 4: Using a ball shaping tool, gently press around the outer edge of the inner
of the flower to bring the petals up. Using your fingers shape the petals so they curve inwards.

Step 5: Layer three different sizes on top of each other and adhere in place.
Adhere prills to the centres, I used Lemon Chiffon from the Spring Bling set on mine!

Leave your flowers aside while you make the card.

To make the card:

Step 1. Using a 6" x 6" White fold out card blank cut the two smaller folds away from
the card so you only have the one left. The smallest we will use inside for a pocket.

Step 2: Using the Fleur Border basics die cut a border for the front of the card.
Place a 6" x 6" piece of card behind the front of the card and place the die on so it sits exactly over the front on the back piece and tape in place. Die cut and your border will perfectly
match the front of the card. Adhere to the card.

Step 3: Using a 6" x 6" piece of card second stamp the Classic Sunflower stamp
in Brilliance Crimson Coral Ink and die cut to fit the front of the card.

Step 4: Using glue and a sponge dab glue over areas of the stamped card and adhere glitter to it.
Do the same things and this time adhere glass shards to it for a fun sparkly effect.

Step 5: Adhere when dry to the card and adhere the flowers and a sentiment along with
some vellum butterflies heat embossed in white.

Step 6: Make a pocket inside the card in the same way using the piece we cut away earlier.
It's perfect for messages or adding money inside the card!

Here is another card made with the same flowers but made out of paper so you can see the
difference. I made them the same as the vellum ones but added Crystal Clear powder to them#for a sparkly effect! I do love my sparkle!

Have lots of crafty fun!
