Anything but a square !

This time at the Christmas card club its Clare's turn to set the challenge !

Great one Clare I have been making a conscious effort 

to not make square cards recently !!!

So .......... I had a few up my sleeve lol !!

For the blue one above I used my XXL GO-Kreate dies to make the shape of the card,

LOTV image, Doh-Hickey tag, Snowflakes from Asda !! and papers from Nitwits !!

The red one below ...... I used my NEW XXL scalloped dies !! 

THANK YOU Margaret !! hehe she treated me to a set !!

Again image is LOTV, holly branch die from Cheery Lynn

and papers from Nitwits. 

And yes there is another below .......

A Vintage one ...... I used my Marianne Oval Anja Die

for this one !!! Cheery Lynn holly die and 

image from a CD and  lots of pearls !!

Phew ...... thats it honest !!!

I can't believe two weeks has passed and I haven't made a card !!!

This time its Zoe's turn to set the challenge at

the Christmas Card club !!!

She chose Sugar and Spice !!!

The card is made by using a Marianne Anja Oval die

Image from a disc, Cheery Lynn holly and flowers !!

It takes a lot of pearls to do this card but I think it was worth it !!

A "Blue Peter" job ..........

Oh boy I feel so bad ....... I really feel I am letting my friends and blog family down trying to deal with lifes events ..... so here is one I made earlier !!! Hence the "Blue Peter" title !!! 

Its time at the Christmas card club to post our fortnights challenge card. 

This time Sylvie set the theme Red and White !! 

Well .......................

I just so happened to have made this before I went on holiday how lucky is that !!!

I used one of the new Wild Rose Annabelle Christmas pre-printed images !! 

Ooh they are so beautiful !!!

Of course a Christmas card had to have one of my favourite Snowflake tree decs on !!!

 Can't wait till Asda get them in again I'm nearly out !!!

 I Also used The Whimsy postcard rubber stamp and 

Cheery Lyn die cut of holly swirls along with a Spellbinder die with the sentiment. 

Paper is Nitwits !!! All my favourites !!

So ...... I am going to try to get back into things, 

starting with posting cards I make just for making sake !

 I'm not sure I'm ready to focus on cards I have to make just yet ........

But know my blogland family I really appreciate all your

Well I liked the effect of the style of my last card so much I made myself get my craft things out and made this using Cuddly Buddly's pre-coloured image Don't feel too good.

I also used these wonderful papers A Portfolio of papers - Brown and A patchwork of papers - blue. The sentiment is from 12 round Greetings. I used Marianne dies flowers and leaves and leaf swirl.

Well I struggled to get sat down and create !!! 

But here is the results of a whole days struggle !!! lol !!! 

Funny, I just sat and stared at all my stuff for 3/4 of the day 

and then did this in the last hour !! Mmm ......

I used my fantastic Aunts Grand Nesties for the card !!

Ooh ....... I'm cutting loads of blanks before I give her them back lol!!!

How I miss my Grandma, I keep picking the phone up

to tell her of "new" things baby is doing !!

I know it will get better and I know I will always miss her

it will just be different.

So ............... hopefully I wont stare for quiet so long making my next card !!!

A celebration ........

Today we celebrate the amazing life of my Grandmother. 

Here she is with a card I made her,

there were many but this was a work of love !!!

Both sides were decorated !!!

It took three day to make lol !

But worth it.

Love you Grandma xxx

Sad news

Sadly my wonderful Grandma passed away on Friday.

I am going to take a few weeks off cardmaking.

I am sure you will all understand !!!

I will be back tho as Arnie said !! Week of 23rd !!!

Thank you for all your support.

Here I am 40 years ago with her !!! Oh yesterday ......... Not sure what tomorrow holds

BUT it will be a better place as she was in my yesterdays.

Well this is so not me !! lol

Clean, simple cards .......... !!! No bits or glam ....

Well I sat on my hands and made this !!

It was so hard to resist the bits...... 

It was good therapy for me !!! lol !!!

I used a Hot Diggity Dog image and added some words !! 

Not a lot else to say Lol !!!

Tiered Easel thank you card !!

I made this card for Cuddly Buddly using .....

(I begged my Aunt to use her dies !!!)

Mine are a coming for my birthday me thinks !!! lol !!! 

I saw my other half write down the details !!!)

 Grand circle nesties and Grand scalloped circles for the shape of the card !!!

Basically you make three easel cards all of descending size 

then place them on each other so the card in front holds the easel from behind !!

I had to use the same image and papers as my last card for them as my 

computer decided to not like the Microsoft update and shut me out !!
Thankfully I had printed loads last time and could make a card !

I decorated the circles using on the back Marianne Branch forest

The center I used Marianne swirl leaf all over to create texture,

On the front of the card I used the smaller leaf die from Marianne flowers and leaves !

The image is a pre-coloured one Little Sweeties bouquet

Papers are Patchwork of papers - purple !! YUMMY !!

and I blinged it up with Heart gems and Stickles Star dust !!!

So now I have to reload all my email contacts and all my internet bookmarks !!

Thank goodness I backed up my photos and videos !!!

So ..... happy crafting !!!

A card for Grandma

I made this card for Cuddly Buddly and have given it to my lovely Gran. 

She is becoming much weaker now, its so sad to watch. Her "colours" are lilacs !!!

 At one point there was every shade of purple you could get in her wardrobe and no other colour !! 

Lol !!! Still it does suit her ! So I couldn't give this card to anyone but her !!

I used Little Sweetie's bouquet pre printed image, A patchwork of papers - lilac; 

I got SO excited when I opened the download for the papers they are AMAZING !!! 

I LOVE them !!!

The ribbon, flowers and lace I had in my stash, I have been stroking the lace for two years,

I took a deep breath when I cut it !! lol !!! 

The sentiment is from Garden Vignettes Tickets.

I used my Marianne corner die LR0143, the small leaves from Marianne flower and leaves LR0156 

and the swirl is from Marianne's leaf swirl die.

Thankfully I had just got hold of the new House Mouse Cd !! I was looking for another challenge (oops nearly gave you a sneak peak there !!) and found this image !! 

Phew ......... water isn't one of those things I have bought for before !!

I used the Die-namics butterfly die (LOVE it !) and a tag from Doh-hickey (LOVE it again !) Ribbon is from my stash and flowers from WOC ! The paper is from the House Mouse Disc too, there is one with every project !! This was actually a piramage project but I just used a flat printed image and glittered it up!! LOVE this disc !! Actually I just LOVE  House Mouse !!!

Yikes another week over with !!! The school holidays are flying by !!! Mind you I am exhausted !!

Xmas bears

I made this for Cuddly Buddly, aww the image is so sweet !!! Its a pre-coloured image Beary Merry Xmas. The papers are from this too and from Quilted Holly. Sentiment is from Christmas Tickets.

Flowers and ribbon are from my Stash and I used the Marianne Star  with the flowers and punched leaves, glittered up with Stickles Crystal for efffect !!! I also glittered up the cuts from my Icicle die by Marianne. I have had the corner die for ages and not used it !!! Crikey it got to the bottom of my dies !!! So ....... at last it got used !!! lol !!!

I have to laugh its a hot sunny day here and I am making Xmas cards !!! lol !!! Ah well ..........

I used Scarlette Beach from Bugaboo, I just love this image, I have already used it once this summer !!! I even coloured it with my promarkers !! lol !! The papers are from DCWV pocketful of posies, I have had these ages and not used them !! I am terrible with bought papers ........... !!! The ice-cream stickers are from K&Co (I thhink) I have had these 2 years and not used them till now !!! I really must make an effort to use stuff and not keep it cos its nice !!! And the sentiment was from a a die cut sheet but who knows where that came from !!! sorry !!!

Christmas Angels

Well I finally got a card done for the Christmas card club gang !!! I'm so sorry ladies  I have just got so bogged down with life's stuff ........... This time it is Dawn who set the challenge; to use an Angel on your card !! So here is a very quick card from me, I had to fit in making three cards today and look after baby!!!

The image is LOTV, card cut using a Marianne Die, Holly swirls is a Cheery lynn die ( I LOVE THIS !!) and ticket sentiment from Cuddly Buddly. FLowers and glitter and hey presto !!! Sledging fun !

I know its July and here we have a Xmas card !!! Well my next posting is one too !!! lol !!! I made this card for Cuddly Buddly and used Christmas Tickets for the sentiment, frosted lace for the paper .... ooh there really is some yummy designs in the set ! and Toby Tumble lets go sledging 3D sheet ! I glittered up the edges  and star with Stickles Star dust. The star is from Marianne Star and Bauble die, I used a Martha Stewart punch for the leaves and flowers from my stash !

This really did cut out well and was so easy to assemble as a decoupage ! I borrowed my Aunts Spellbinder Bauble dies to cut the bauble shapes !!! Thanks very much !!!

I made this card on the hop !! Its House Mouse stamp I coloured with water colour pencils, Paper is from Forever Friends Retro, hearts are a  Marainne die and the tag is a Dohickey one !! A rare one for a man ! Its not often I make male cards, they are so hard to do !!!! lol !!!
