Happy Valentines !!!

Did the postman struggle down your path today

with sacks and sacks of cards ?? lol !

My street was jammed with lorries bringing mine !!!

YEAH RIGHT !!! lol !

Wow the weeks are passing by so fast !!

Shhh it will soon be Christmas again !!! yikes no ...... !!

This week the challenge over at Polka Doodles

is Love is in the Air !!!

The DT were challenged to make cards with the theme love

if you want to you can join in that too !

So ...... Looks like I'm still in a CAS mood !!

For this card I used my Graphics program and used a heart 

shaped outline. I then filled it with Dragonflies and Butterflies

resizing and flipping them from the Dolly Daydream Goes East CD.

Sentiment is also from the CD.

I then printed and cut out the heart so you cant see the outline.

I printed a sentiment and cut it out onto a 13.5cm x 13.5cm piece of card.

I layered it up with another piece of card 14cm x 14cm with 3D foam pads

on top of the 14.5cm x 14.5cm card.

I used 3D foam pads behind the heart too to give dimension

and adhered it next to the sentiment.

hope you can see what I mean tho from the pics.

Well, better go my eldest is out of school for half term

at lunch time and I have so much to do before then !! lol !!

Well ....... I used these lovely Oriental flowers

and sentiment from the new Dolly Daydream Goes East CD !!

Gift Bag Tutorial

Wow! It's a year today I did my first post for Polka doodles!

How time flies! Thank you to the team it's a great team.

This week  Its my turn to do a tutorial over at Polka Doodles !!

Several people asked me how I made this gift bag

so I thought I'd make one for this tutorial !

I used  the Polka Doodles CD

Cherry Blossom Lane.

To make this you will need :
A score board and tool,
Die cutting machine,
Grand Scalloped circle dies,
3D Foam pads, Flowers, Leaf die/punch
Swirl die, ruler, glue gun, silver and green card,
3 sheets double sided card, ribbon, sentiment,
Characters, inks, glitter glue, hole punch,scissors......
phew think that's it !!! lol

Using two of your double sided sheets of card,

cut a circle from each and ink the edges.

On your third sheet cut a strip 6cm wide using the whole length.

Score 1cm on either side.

Ink the score lines and then fringe cut the sides so that the paper

will curve to go around the inner of the circles.

Using the hole punch, punch two holes for

the ribbon to thread through. 

Adhere using hot glue the strip of card to one circle.

Then adhere the other circle on top

Tie your ribbon through the holes,

 ink and glitter the edges around the sentiment.

Cut and adhere the swirl with the flowers and leaves.

Add the characters and sentiment and more flowers.

Glitter all the flowers and the bag is complete !

Easter Box

I made this open box using papers, characters and sentiment from
the Polka Doodles CD Cherry Blossom Lane.
The box is a shape from my stash!

As I write this the CD is on sale !!

Not sure for how long so grab it while you can !!

Caitlyn loved these boxes and wanted me to make her one 

for her friend s she can pop little mini Easter eggs in !

NO there isn't any in at the moment 

they would be all gone NOW !!! lol !!

Papers, sentiment tag and image are all from the CD.

The flowers I cut out from the paper scraps and just curved slightly.

Of course I glittered all the flowers on the paper, the flowers 

and parts of the bunnies !!!

Birthday shoes and New releases !!

Oh I am loving this new CD from Polka Doodles !!

I made this card using the embellies in my graphics program !

Cut out layers and 3D'd it up.

Of course I glittered up the flowers !!

I love my glitter !!! lol !!

A girl has to have her lippy !!

Its time for a new challenge over at Polka Doodles !

As always the challenges are Anything goes or

you can do like the DT is asked and do something girly !!

I used the FABULUSH new CD Dolly Daydream

I took the lipstick image from the elements section into my

graphics program 4 times. Lined them up and flipped two images so that

the back has lipsticks too !! Cut it out, folded and then cut out another of the

two front lipsticks so I could decoupage up. I printed and cut out a girlie,

added her to the card along with a sentiment !

I then made a gift bag using a white bag and cutting it down !!

So loving this CD !!

New Home

This week over at Polka Doodles the challenge is Anything Goes !!!

The DT were asked to choose a favourite make from 2013 ........

Gosh its so hard to choose a favourite as I LOVE all things Polka Doodles !!! 

Way back in April I made this card and gift box. I just loved them so much ! 

For the card I used the Stampies from the CD All Around and Everywhere. 

To make them large enough to make a card with I enlarged 

the view on them and used the printing option of current view. 

For the box I used the CD All around and Everywhere for the images. 

The paper I used from the CD Picknix 1. I just love how the words look like clouds !

For the Christmas table.

That's the challenge this week for the. DT at Polka Doodles !!!
Make something for the Christmas table !

Oh I got so excited at this challenge and its

the last one for our team this year so I got really excited !! 

So I made two projects !!!

I know ........... sad !!! lol !!!

For my first project .......

Every year I make peppermint creams 

to have with coffee after dinner ........

So I thought .......... how about something to serve them in.

Mmm ...... and I would really like to make a sleigh ........

This is what I came up with !

I used the A Home for Christmas CD

I used the embellishment of Santa flying in his sleigh

and blew it up in my graphics program until

it was a size I wanted, printed it four times.

Then flipped it horizontally and printed four more times.

I cut out and decoupaged and adhered all the pieces together

until I had two sides that were printed either side

and decoupaged on the outsides. 

I then printed a paper from the CD and cut a strip from it

curving one end. I adhered to either side of the sleigh

to make a place to hold my peppermint creams !

I added some tissue paper to make it look glam and of course

I glittered the sleigh stars and words and Santa with my Stickles !

When I showed it to Caitlyn she said it would make a nice gift box too ...... 

My second project was VERY quick and simple.

I made these Christmas trees from papers from the A Home for Christmas CD

I drew a triangle and then drew the same triangle either side of the first

so it was attached, cut out folded and adhered together !!

I used a heart from the embellishments on the CD, adhered it to a 

cocktail stick and placed it down the top of the tree !! 

I thought they would look great in the middle of the table amongst

the dishes stood in groups !

Reindeer Food

Its time for another Challenge

at Polka Doodles !!!

This week the challenge is to follow a Sketch !

Now I am no good at Sketches and I have to admit this

one really had me stumped.

But then like it does .......... it came to me in the middle

of the night when my little girl was sick

and I was awake looking after her ............... lol!

A header for sweeties I thought ..........

Then I thought how about a header for Reindeer food

and as I am going to a craft fair next weekend I

could make loads and sell them !!!

So that 's what I did !!

I used the A Home for Christmas CD for this, paper

and all the embellishments are from the CD.

I just put them together with text in my graphics program !

The star has Santa flying through it, the three

circles are the Reindeer, the ribbon

is the vertical line and the Title is the horizontal line !!

I did 3D up the embellishments too !!

I wrote a little poem on the back

Sprinkle on your lawn at night,

The moon will make it sparkle bright.

As Santas reindeer fly and roam,

this will guide them to your home !

I made my card by making a scene using

embellishments from A Home for Christmas CD.

I cut the scene out and attached it to a tent card.

I then printed and decoupaged the Santa Sleigh and reindeer,

tree, snowman and all the windows and door.

I glittered around all the windows and door and snow 

with my Stickles.

A quick but effective card !
