My Xmas baby !!!

Hi there everyone !!!!

Well my little girl finally made an appearance Xmas Eve !!!! Here she is, Isabella Louisa Debrah Gaze, weighed in at 8lb 10z and arrived at 00:49 !!! I always said it was going to be Xmas Eve right from the first moment I knew I was pregnant !!!!

Thank you everyone for the kind cards, gifts emails and good wishes. I so appreciate them. it has really touched me.

I will be back with more soon, we are cooking for the family today !!! 2 days old and we have a house full ! Might as well start as we mean to go on !!

Flowers for your birthday

This week at Forever friends our challenge is a Sketch



I used a Marianne doily die to make the shape for the back of the image, I tried to make it a little different than just a plain rectangle, so used two cuts together to make the backing !!! A bit of bling but essentially a more clean and simple card than I have been making recently !!!!

Oops ............

Oh no the tree !!!! I just love this image its from Digi Doodles and they are sponsoring the challenge this week at Crafts 4 Eternity !!! The challenge this week is to use dry or heat embossing ! I just hope that with three dogs and another visiting 3 days a week our tree stays upright !!!!

I made a very simple card this week so that the image was the focus of the card, the dry embossing is the top half of the card, snowflakes. To be honest this took me hours !!! My mojo just isn't working so I didn't get the other card I wanted to make today done !! Ah well tomorrow is another day !!!

So tomorrow is Xmas Eve !!! How exciting !!! All the men will be rushing around the towns finding presents us ladies really don't need/want cos they hadn't listened to us all year round when we dropped hints !!! The children will all be awake too late with their excitement and us parents end up staying up later than we would wish to get those presents under the tree !! Still there is always Santa's snifter to down and his mince pie to eat !!!

We three Kings

Well this time its Pinky's turn to set the challenge for the Christmas Card club !!! Her challenge was to make a religious card ............. well I had nothing at all that isn't cutsie and would be suitable !!! I ended up using a Craft Creations image and I figured red and gold would go well with it !! The ribbon I got from the Pound Shop !! I just couldn't resit it !!! So here my card is !!! Thanks for the challenge Pinky !!

The Blues ..........

No she hasn't got the blues just the card is in blues !!!! hehe !!!

I was sent this amazing Magnolia image by a friend and just had to colour her in as soon as I received it !!! She is so lovely !!

This week at Crafts 4 Eternity our challenge is to use WIRE, BEADS and a METAL CHARM .......

Mmm I had no wire to make any shapes with or anything so I had to settle with the wire buttefly. (Not that butterflies are around in the snow !!!) The beads are wired too but not that you can tell, all around the flowers. And my charm well where to put it ........... in the end I settled for hanging it off my snowflake Xmas dec !!! it worked and I was suprised !!! This card too me all afternoon to make as I just couldn't get a result I was happy with. funny how some take an hour and others days !!! The trees I have had ages, I glittered them up and they have been in and out the cupboard ....... but today I edged them with blue ink and voila !!

Roses are Red

Ooh I just loved this card when I had finished it !!! This fortnight at Forever Friends the challenge theme is Roses are red !!! So ........... I found this F/F paper and image on my Cd and fell in love with them both ! I used my spellbinder die I bought months ago but hadn' t used yet! Me like this one !!! The hearts are a Marinne Die and I used a Martha Stewart punch thinking trellis and roses went together !! The tag is a Dohickey one and I used a LOTV sentiment, bit of ribbon, flowers and job done !!!

Let the Angels play

This weeks challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity is a colour challenge of red, green and beige. Well it certainly challenged me !! The beige bit anyways !!! I eventually found the paper from the Christmas Past Cd which has all three colours on !!! Brill !!!

The image is a LOTV one and I used a Go-Kreate die cutting it down for the greeting to peek out from the ribbon !!! I was so pleased when I found the glittery holly leaves !! I have loads of these in my things in the USA but couldn't find any here till I walked into The Range the other day !!! Whoop whoop !!! They really add another dimension ! No I am on a ribbon hunt as that was the last of my wide green ribbon ............. bought in Walmart last Christmas ........... (big sigh) Ah well I guess ebay here I come !!!
