Favour Box or Place setting

Here is my second Project this week for Heartfelt Creations.
Have you seen this Arianna Blooms Collection yet ??
WOW It is one of my favourites !!!
Click on the pic below to go to their Website and check
out the amazing inspiration there is !!

Heartfelt Creations

Well ......... this could be used either as a gift box, or
as a favour at a wedding filled with sweeties .......
or even as a place setting !!
You could hand write the persons name on the front,
I left mine blank as my handwriting is terrible !!
I got my template HERE
I also have it in my templates board on my Pinterest

I made this out of scraps from my paper pad !!!
It would be much easier to make if you were using double sided paper.
All you do is draw around the template, score and fold and adhere !
And then decorate !

To make this I used:

452255 Grand Calibur
HCD 747 Arianna Lace Die
HCDP1 244 Arianna Blooms Paper Pad
354806 Standard Circle die
459222 Blossoms tool kit

Other Products Used : White Card, Template, Glitter Glue, Pearl gems, 3D glue
Tissue paper, Victorian Velvet Ink, All purpose glue.

Using white A4 card print a template full size. Print another on paper and cut
both out. On the unprinted side of the card template ink the card using the ink.
Ink the edges. Using the paper template cut into sections and draw around them
on papers from the paper pad ink the edges and adhere to the card template on
the printed side.Do this for all sides. I used scraps up for this!
Using a small die cut a circle out of each tall side for a handle. Die cut out
the swirls from the Lace die set. Adhere the box together.
Stamp, cut, ink, shape, glitter and add gems
for the flowers. Cut a 2 6/16" square in darker paper, cut 2 2/16"
square from one of the journalling pieces and matt and layer them.
Adhere to the box with 3D glue. Cut a sentiment and adhere
with the flowers and swirls and your project
is complete.

 Heartfelt Creations

Here is my box open !
I cut each piece off the lacy die and adhered it
around the edge of the box covering over the top with ribbon.
It looks just like real lace !!

A full view of the box opened.
I used all the dies from the Arianna Lace set on this box !
I LOVE them !!!
I cut the papers so that they followed around the box .......
It is such pretty paper !

The top of the box.
The top paper and the one under the box itself is a card front
from the paper pad!! It does all the work of layering for you !!
I stamped the sentiment inked and cut it out, adhering
with 3D glue for depth. Added swirls and flowers and done !!

And the back view ............

To make this project I used the following:

452255 Grand Calibur
HCD 747 Arianna Lace Die
HCDP1 244 Arianna Blooms Paper Pad

alcohol pens, green card, Victorian Velvet Ink.

To make the box I have tutorial here
http://veritycards.blogspot.co.uk/2014/05/fold-over-box-tutorial.html
To decorate the box I stamped the sentiment and coloured using alcohol
pens. Die cut this out with a circle die and ink up the centre and edges.
Adhere to the top of the lid with 3D glue. Die cut the lace flower
three times and cut each petal off. Adhere to the edge of the box. Adhere
Ribbon over the top also. Using ribbon to match the ribbon to tie the box
together, adhere it around the middle section which is the back of the flap.
Stamp, ink, glitter shape and add pearls to the flowers. Die cut 2 decorative swirl
dies and a Flourishing vine. Cut the vine in half and adhere with the die cuts
and a flower to the back of the box. On the inner section die cut four petal dies
and adhere with a flower and two Flourishing vine die cuts. On the top of the box
cut a petal die with hearts and adhere under a flower with three flourishes.

Vintage Shoe Gift box/place setting/ favour

I just had to !!! Yep I had to make another shoe !!
This was the first thing I made with the Vintage Floral CD!

These can be used as either a gift box, pop some chocolates into a cello
bag and tie with ribbon, a place setting for a wedding or a favour with sweets in !
I LOVE them !!

To make it I used a template which I found here

It would be easier using double sided papers as you don't have to use a lining then.
But I decided I wanted to emboss the inner of the shoe so I cut another of the whole
shoe out of Ivory Centura pearl card which I embossed. I then cut away the piece that folds over the top
and the heel and placed the rest into the shoe manipulating it so that it fitted and cut away the excess and hid some under the covering top piece. It is really easy to do honest ! Have a go and you will see.

Here is what I used to make this:

Vintage Floral CD
Vintage Screen Embossing folder
Ivory Centura Pearl card
All purpose glue
Tacky Glue

Other items, Pearl gem and string pearls and hot glue

Have a great Bank Holiday ! I'm hoping the sun will shine as I'm
having steak on the bbq later !! YUM !!
Happy crafting!

Fold over Box Tutorial

I thought I would do a tutorial on how to make my box!
I don't know what type of box its really called
(if anyone does then let me know!!)
so I just called it the fold over box as the lid just fold over the box !!!
Its really really easy to make but so effective!

Please bear with me this is very picture heavy !!

First of all cut a piece of card 15" x 6"
and score 6" from each end which leaves a 3" piece in the middle.

Fold along the score lines.
This will make the outer part that the box sits in.

Now cut a piece of card 10" x 10"
and score 3" along each side.
This will make the box itself.

Cut into the corners to create tabs

Fold along the score lines and adhere to make a box.

So now you have the main part of your box all we need to do
now is cover it with papers.

Cut 4 pieces of 6" x 6" paper.
One for the top, the inner top, the base and the underneath of the box

Now cut 2 pieces 6" x 3" for the inner and outer of the middle
of the flip over part of the project.

Cut a 4" x 4" piece for the bottom of the inner of the box.
Also cut 4 pieces 4" x 3" for the inner sides of the box.

Now cut 4 pieces 4" x 3" for the outer sides of the box.
Note how I used the pattern on the papers to
follow through on the sides of the box.
You could also use a plain colour and emboss the sides
adding texture to your project.

Now to the messy part !!
I love getting my fingers inky and gluey !

Adhere the papers to the inner of the box.
I used a All purpose Glue as it is repositionable
when first applied allowing the paper to be in the right place !

Now adhere the papers to the outer of your box.

Other than decorating the box when the project is all together
this part is now done.

Take the outer of the project.
We are going to adhere the papers to the card for the inside
of the project. So the box will sit on the bottom square eventually.

Now turn it over for the outer of the project.
The top of the finished bx is the top square.
Before adhering the papers, adhere two
pieces of ribbon in the centre of the edge.
These will be used to hold the box together.
Use a good length of ribbon so that you have enough
for the bow to be tied and retied when given as a gift.

Adhere the pieces of paper t the card.
See how it covers up the ribbon !

Now turn the project over to the inner side and adhere
the box to the bottom square.
I usually put plenty of glue on and
place something heavy inside to hold it down !

Flip over the top of the box and the body of the box is complete.
All you have to do now is decorate it to your liking !

Here are other boxes I have made using this type of box  !!
If you click on the picture it will take you to the post for that box.

Happy crafting !!
Any questions just ask I am happy to help !
