Anniversary Box

This week I made a gift box for the Crafter's Companion Die'sire team.
I just loved the words and I though how apt for a anniversary sentiment.

Crafter's Companion

I embossed the box and the layered top using
the Embossalicious Tumbling Leaves folder.
The light was so bright when I took the photo
you can only just make it out.

Yes its those Sunflowers again !!
I made them with the Die'sire small and large sunflower die,
using Coredinations card so I could sand it down.
Of course I had to add beads in the centres !
I used Leaf 2 die for the leaves and the Dottie embossing folder.
The sentiment is from Sentimentals Vintage set
and I cut out the smaller die from the Die'sire Grace Frame set
inking the edges with a pink ink pad for effect.

The sides of the box I cut Die'sire Lace Border 3
and decorated the edges.

Hope you like it !
Happy crafting.

Heartfelt Creations

I saw these amazing sentiments and thought ...... a star box was the order of the day !!
So I used the decorative lattice die from the
 Raindrops on Roses and flowers
from the Majestic Morning release alongside this release to create this box.

Each side of this box is different !!
So there are a few photos !!!

I have to say I love the effect this gift box gives when finished !
It really is very easy to make, it looks more
complex than it actually is ........ honest !
I will admit it is time consuming to decorate it BUT
you don't have to do it so full as mine is here !
Stop by again tomorrow for my second project this week !

I used and did  the following to make this project:

HCD 736 Classic leaf die
HCPC 3545 Open Leaf PreCut set
459222 Paper Blossoms Tools
452255 Grand Calibur
HCD 743 Raindrops on Roses die

Brown and Peeled Paint inks, white card.

There are obviously two pieces to make, the top and the bottom !
Lets start with the base.Take a 12x12 piece of paper from the pad and fold
to make a star box. Don't panic ..... follow these steps to fold into the box !
1. Fold in half horizontally, vertically and in both diagonals.
2. Bring the top and bottom corners together
(having the design of paper you want for the outer of the box on the outer of the folding)
and tuck in the other two sides.
3. Have the opening at the top and fold one side into the central fold.
open the flap and press it open. Tuck the side of the
flap under itself and repeat on all of the sides.
4. There will now be 4 narrow pointed flaps. Fold them down as far as you can.
5. Pull them open, pushing the box open, shaping with your hands.

Cut four of the Decorative lattice die and adhere under each flap cutting
each one in half. Cut and adhere four triangles of contrasting paper and cover each flap.
(I traced around mine onto the paper for an exact fit) Adhere each flap over the die cuts.

Now for the lid !!
Cut a 10 cm square of matching paper and score 1 cm from each edge. Make into a box base.
This will make the piece that sits inside the gift box. Cut four of the Decorative lattice die cuts
and arrange on the top of the base of the box. Trim the die cuts where necessary. Cut a
8 cm square co-ordinating piece of paper and adhere over the die cuts. Cut a 14 cm square
piece of paper to match the paper over the flaps.Score at 1 cm and 4 cm from the edges,
making into a box with the 1 cm scored piece fringed so the box will adhere on top of the
paper and die cuts. To make the handle, cut two strips of paper 21 cm x 3 cm and 3 decorative
die cuts. Adhere the die cuts trimming them to one strip of paper and then cover with the
second strip and adhere to the box sides. Stamp and cut your clocks and sentiments and ink.
Cut, ink, glitter and adhere the flowers and leaves, adhering beads in the flower centres.
Adhere the flowers, sentiments, clocks and leaves on the box. Each side of the box is
different! Your gift box is now complete !

Owlie Gift bag

Its time for a new challenge over at
The Stamping Boutique

The Stamping Boutique

This time the challenge is paper piecing/piercing !!

I made this round gift bag for the challenge.
I used the digi image Owl twice
on this bag! A bigger and smaller one!
I paper pieced both of them with Nitwits papers.
And the paper I used for the gift bag matches !

I used my spellbinder dies to cut the circles
A strip of paper scored and cut makes the bit
to pop your gift in adhered to the two circles!
Flowers are from K&Co and leaves are a Martha Stewart punch.
I punched two sets of holes and tied ribbon
through them so that the gift bag is closed !

Well I better get on, so much to do and so little time !!!
Not only do I have all the Xmas goodies to bake, pressies to wrap
but my little girl is two on Xmas eve so all the party to plan for too !!!
Off to make some Red Onion Marmalade to go with my pate !
Happy crafting.

From our House to yours.

The challenge this week over at Polka Doodles is....
Anything goes - Christmas!
pop on over and join the fun!

I thought I would decorate a box for my neighbour.
She is 85 and loves home baking so I always do something for her.
Last year it was a cake but this year I thought I
would do Gingerbread men and a box for her this year.

I bought the box
(Actually it had something in it already but I just wanted the box !!)
I wanted a clear one and then decorated
it with papers, sentiment and embellishments from
I layered two papers ontop of one another.
I used a tag die to cut around the sentiment and inked
around the edges.
I have to say these are bought gingerbread men
and my daughter is eating them already !! lol !

It was very difficult to photograph !!
I hope you like it !
Happy crafting.

How I wish I could make these in fabric !

BUT like I said there is another part to it
which I will share with you soon !!

Materials Used
OTHER ITEMS - Inks, Dauber, Hot glue, string pearls, Sticky velcro and double sided tape.

To Make it
* Cut the following papers. 1 piece 16.5 cm x 27 cm and score 12 cm from each end.
This forms the body of the bag.
2 Pieces 13 cm x 5 cm and score 1 cm from both sides and along the bottom.
These will form the sides.
*Cut out the largest of the Grand Labels one which will form the flap of the bag.
Score in the middle and 3 cm from the middle.
*Adhere the sides and the flap, trimming where necessary along the back.
*Cut a piece of paper  16.5 cm x 8 cm.
Adhere to the back of the box so it forms a pocket.
*Adhere String pearls around the edge of the front flap and
along the line of the back pocket.

*Stamp, and cut out your leaves. I left my leaves unembossed
and used the stamps themselves to colour the front leaves.
The leaves on the rear I did on green paper for colour effect.
*Stamp, ink, emboss and adhere your flowers.
*Add Velcro dots or a sticky velcro piece to the inner of the flap.
* Arrange and adhere the leaves and flowers to the box

Christmas Shoes

I LOVED these shoes so much I thought I would make them again !
This week over at Polka Doodles the Challenge is .....
CHRISTMAS !!
Click on the pic and come join in the fun.

I used the wonderful A Home For Christmas CD
from Polka Doodles for the papers and embellies only.
The template is one I found on the internet, there are lots of them out there.

I printed a piece of card both sides and then printed the template
on one side and cut out and adhered it together.
I did the shoes papers opposite to each other
as I thought they would make great place settings on my Christmas table,
alternating them along the table.

I printed and cut out lots of holly, used gems to bling up.
One shoe I added Stickles glitter glue, I didn't want the shoes the same !
I added some chocolates in a bag with ribbon and printed names, adding holly again.

This is what the shoes look like empty .........
NO I didn't eat the chocolates .......... honest !!!

Hope you like them, Have a great day.
Hugs xx
